Venue: Marine Hotel
Full Price: R120 Wine Plus Complete - Early Bird R475 (all 5) Full Price R500 Curated by Melvyn Minnaar, this series of tastings and talks showcases elements of excitement that define the current state of local wine. Starting with a bird’s eye view of the success story of the Hermanus region, wine grape varieties that drive contemporary cellar skills and connoisseurship come under the spotlight. The accent is on talent and thrill. South African brandy is today among the finest in the world; golden treasures to be acknowledged. As to local ‘port’-style wines, we’re right up there. Informative, not too technical, and framed by a fine selection to taste, each event of 45 minutes is a stand-alone, but the series will leave you more informed about the state of wine art. Presented by some of the best-known names in the South African wine world, they will share their passion. Port, somehow, calls for a somewhat different approach, and we are fortunate to bring with it to Fynarts a poetic experience.
