The second route is the N2 highway through Sir Lowry’s Pass descending onto a beautiful countryside of orchards, Elgin Valley this area is well known for its production of Apples but is also one of South Africa’s biggest production areas for exporting fruit. Continuing you will find yourself surrounded by Wheatfield’s, grazing sheep and Cattle and magnificent views of the Riviersonderend Mountain, this route takes you pass towns like Grabouw, Caledon, Riviersonderend and Swellendam, and make sure to keep an eye out for our National Bird the Blue Crane while in this area as they are very popular in the region.
