Planning has been completed and the countdown has begun for this year’s Stanford Stretton’s Bird Fair. The income derived from this generous benefactor makes it possible for BirdLife WalkerBay to run this increasingly popular event.2012 Stanford Birding Photographic Competition The annual Stanford birding Photographic Competition was started by Philippa Castle in 2007 and has grown from strength to strength, providing much interest to the Stanford Bird Fair. Entrants may register online and upload up to 20 of their best birding photographs to stand in line to win any of the 11 prizes on offer. The photographic competition is open until the end of 3 September and details on how to enter are at http://www.stanfordbirding.co.za/photo-competition-2012. Everyone is invited to register, login and rate the photographs with 1-8 stars and thus help with the judging process.
